Palakkad Fort is a well maintained for near Palakkad town in Kerala. It was built during later part of 18th century, however some legends portray it as ancient fort. However, the current form of the fort was built by Hydel Ali of Mysore. There is a huge ground in the fort, which are used for cricket matches, meetings and large public gatherings.
