The jade blue Neergarh Waterfalls, also known as “Neer Gaddu ” is located just a short trek away from the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway.

The Neergarh Waterfall is actually a combination of three stunning falls, each tumbling down rocky cliffs and creating a beautiful cascade.

During the summer, the cool water of the nearby stream attracts many tourists looking to beat the heat. With two small bridges and some nearby shops, it’s the perfect spot to rest and take in the stunning surroundings. And if you’re feeling adventurous, bring some food, water, and a mat and turn your hike into a mini picnic while capturing some incredible photos. Trust us, the views of the nearby valley are not to be missed!

To reach the waterfall, you’ll need to take a 15-minute trek through the dense woods. Along the way, you’ll see a variety of flora and fauna and a stream of water running along the path. With an entry fee of 30/- per person, the waterfall area is easily accessible and offers clear, pure water for swimming.

If one is adventurous, one can reach Kunjapuri Devi Temple for a sunrise view before making your way to Neer Garh. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars for a closer look at the hill station, and be prepared for a steep hike down – of 3000, 2.5 hrs) that leads all the way down to the waterfall.

If you’re traveling with kids, don’t worry, the trek to the first waterfall is easy. And once you arrive, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby eating spots and relax on a chair while taking in the beauty of the waterfall. With cold drinks, Maggi, and chairs to lounge in, it’s the perfect way to spend a day in Rishikesh.
