Mantralayam is a holy town in Andhra Pradesh.

The town is named after its devotion towards Sanatan Dharma, which is basically the foundation of Hinduism. And the main attraction here is the Raghavendra Swami Temple. This temple is dedicated to Shri Raghavendra Swami, a follower of Lord Krishna, and it’s a must-visit for anyone who’s interested in Indian mythology and culture.

You can witness the temple elephants and chariots carrying the deity around during special occasions – it’s a spectacular sight! And if you’re a fan of beautiful rivers, you’ll love the Tungabhadra river. It’s worth checking out!

If you’re planning a trip to Mantralayam, I suggest you reach there by noon and check into a hotel. There are plenty of options available, but try to choose one that’s closer to the temple – it’ll save you some travel time. Refresh yourself and head to the temple around 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the evening aarti at 7:00 PM – it’s magical! And if you’re lucky, you might get to see the ‘rathotsavam’, a procession of chariots carrying the deities.

The next morning, take a dip in the Tungabhadra river and then visit the temple again before leaving. And there you have it, a perfect spiritual trip to Mantralayam!
