Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary is one of few bird sanctuary one will find among the centre of a buzzing city. It lies on backwaters of Kochi.
It covers 2.74 hectares of land, some of it the backyard of Kerala High Court. It is a haven for migratory birds as well as resident birds of Kochi. It acts as splendid green cover in a rapidly growing metro.
