Kumarakom Craft Museum is the perfect tourist destination!

Not only does it offer all the modern comforts you crave, but it also gives you a taste of the region’s rich culture, history, and tradition.

From the moment one steps into the museum, you will be transported to another era. The collection of antiques, ranging from woodwork to paintings, portraits, and decor items, was simply stunning. The lady in charge did an excellent job of explaining each item and its historical significance. It was like taking a walk through time!

And let’s not forget the shop! Yes, it was a bit dusty, but that only added to its charm. They had everything from discarded curio items to exquisite handcrafted souvenirs. One can get some beautiful hay paintings and wooden keychains with Kerala figures. And don’t even get me started on the Kathakali faces and the model of Shikara with brass work. They were delicate and stunning examples of Kerala craftsmanship.

But that’s not all! The museum even had an original canoe outside, perfect for that Instagram-worthy picture with your loved ones.

Sure, the museum may seem like an odd collection of antiquities arranged haphazardly, but that’s what makes it even more interesting to explore! And the best part? The entry fee is only 100 rupees, and children up to 10 years old can enter for free.

So, if you want to relive the tales you’ve heard for centuries and have a unique and thrilling experience, the Kumarakom Wood Castle Serviced Apartments, Craft Museum, and Curiosity Shop is a must-visit place when you’re in Kumarakom.
