Green Valley in Shimla is a scenic and breathtaking mountain range. And let me tell you, this place is so green, it puts the Hulk to shame!

The lush valley is surrounded by hills covered in thick pine and deodar forests, making it a perfect spot for some prime nature photography. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot some yaks wandering around the area. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see a giant, furry animal with horns? It’s like seeing a unicorn, but with a serious attitude problem.

Now, I must warn you, this place is not exactly a tourist hub, so don’t expect any five-star resorts. But that’s okay, because the beauty of the valley is all you need to make your trip worthwhile. Plus, you can always grab some street food from the local vendors and enjoy a piping hot bowl of Maggi noodles.

Before you head out to the Green Valley, keep in mind that the roads can be pretty steep and hilly, so it’s better to hire an experienced driver. And don’t forget to pack some light woolens, because the weather can get chilly once the sun sets.

But when’s the best time to visit, you ask? Well, if you want to see the forest in all its green, thriving glory, then plan your trip between July and October or from February to April.

Once you’re there, just park your car by the roadside and take in the magnificent views of the trees, which make the valley look like it’s been photoshopped. Seriously, it’s so green, it’s like you’re in a different world. And if you want to get a closer look at the distant mountains, you can buy a pair of binoculars for as cheap as INR 50 from the local shops.

All in all, the Green Valley is a must-visit spot for any nature lover. Just make sure you watch out for traffic while you’re taking in the sights, because you don’t want to end up getting hit by a car while trying to take the perfect selfie.
