The sanctuary is spread across 330 acres and is a refuge place for many wild animals. The mammals found here are golden jackal, jungle cat, mongoose, Indian wolf as well as great varieties of birds.

The greatest attraction here is the Indian bustard as well as pelicans, spot-billed ducks, flamingoes, demoiselle cranes.

The land is arid ecosystem, which has its unique variety of flora and fauna.
