Chinnakallar Falls

Chinnakallar Falls is near Valparai in Western ghats of Tamil Nadu. It is the remotes part and it is a water stream dropping over 15 feet over rocky boulder before joining the Nirar dam. The waterfalls area is set amdist the lush jungle and a quiet place. The water is pristine and since it is an off beat location, there will not be usual crowd one finds in other waterfalls. The road to the waterfalls are scenic and one climbs from the lower Nirar dam site to Upper Nirar dam. To reach the base of the waterfalls, one has to trek close to 1.0 kilometer amidst thick jungle.
