Chelavara Falls is near Madikeri town in Karnataka. The waterfall is formed by a tributary of river Cauvery. It is a seasonal waterfalls and it will be dry during hot summer. It is little less crowded among other waterfalls around Madikeri and involves a challenging trek.
Entry into water area of the falls is prohibited and there are caution boards to notify the visitor about the risks. The rocks are slippery and sharp and any fall can be fatal.
