If you’re heading towards the Synagogue in Kochi, you absolutely can’t miss the Antique Museum.

It may be small, but trust me, it packs a punch! This museum is a treasure trove of artifacts from the 18th century, and it’s perfect for anyone who loves history.

And if you’re looking for a unique souvenir, the museum has a shop inside with some truly one-of-a-kind items. Just a heads up, though – if you’re on a budget, you might want to save your shopping for the Fort Kochi flea markets. You can bargain there, and the prices are definitely more wallet-friendly.

The Antique Museum is part of the Fine Art Emporium of Kochi, and it’s home to over 1,000 rare and valuable items from all over the world. From a 200-year-old Columbian Press to 8,000-year-old Bushman stones, this place has it all. And don’t forget to check out the 3,500-year-old wooden water wheel – it’s a real crowd-pleaser.

Just a word of caution – when taking pictures, make sure to turn off your flash. We don’t want to damage any of these priceless artifacts, do we? And if you’re looking to add something to your collection, they do sell replicas of some items. Just be prepared to shell out a pretty penny for them.

Overall, the Antique Museum is definitely worth a visit. The collection is impressive, the staff is polite and helpful, and the admission is free. The only downside is that there’s no parking available, so plan accordingly.
