Anokhi Museum is for those who have a soft spot for block prints and hand printing.

This place is a paradise for all the craft lovers out there, especially those who are fascinated by the ancient Rajasthani art form. Anokhi Museum is the perfect place to admire the world’s best block painting garments and learn about the oldest form of Rajasthani art at its very best.

But wait, there’s more! This museum also holds a UNESCO certification, so you know it’s the real deal. And if you thought that was impressive, Anokhi Museum houses more than a hundred garments and organizes various educational programs and workshops for visitors on a daily basis. It’s like a cultural endeavor of Anokhi clothing brand, which is simply amazing!

One will be amazed by the various demonstrations related to block carving, print making, and block printing, etc. One can even learn how to do a block print!

The museum is set in an old bungalow near the Kheri Gate on the way to Amer Fort, and the entry fee is just Rs.40 for an adult. If you’re feeling generous, there’s a donation box where you can contribute to the preservation of traditional customs and works of artisans living in Jaipur.

The most striking thing about this museum is the peace and quiet of the place. It has several rooms, niches and stairs which make the place intriguing. And if you’re looking for souvenirs or gifting ideas, there’s a small Anokhi store inside the museum which sells some garments and other products in block print.

Overall, the experience was enriching and entertaining. We highly recommend visiting this museum if you’re in Jaipur. But remember, the area is avoidable during the 26th of Dec to 7th of Jan due to the huge influx of tourists from Delhi.
