Agasthiyar Falls also known as Papanasam Waterfalls is near Vikramasinghapuram in Thirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. It is inside the forest reserve area and one has to get permission and pay entry charges into the waterfalls area. The cost is INR 50/- per vehicle (4 wheeler) and INR 10/ per adult.
Public transport will drop near the checkpost and one has to trek for 3 kilometers. If you have private transport you can reach upto 2.5 kilometers. The waterfalls is a stream of Manimutharu river falling widely over barren rock boulders making it enjoyable for sighting as well as bathing. There is a separate area for men and women. There are other facilities like changing room and security guard
