Vattakottai Fort is a circular fort near Kanyakumari on the beach side. It was built during 18th century by Travancore kings as coastal defence. Now, the fort is under the control of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The fort has brilliant view of seaside as well as the ghats of Western ghats making it a popular tourist destination.
