Valmiki Tiger Reserve forms the eastern most limit of the Himalayan Terai forests in India.
It is on the India-Nepal border with Gandak river serving as a boundary.
The place has a unique vegetation of marshy land as well as pebble tracts across the forest.
Some of the big attraction here are Tiger, Sloth bear, Leopard, Wild dog, Bison, Wild boar etc.
Another attraction here is the flying fox.
It is home to over 250 species of birds.
