Urakkuzhi Falls is near Malabar Wildlife Sanctuary near Kozhikode in Kerala. The waterfalls is near the Kakkayam Dam. The waterfalls is set amongst other attractions like river valleys, Kakkayam waterfall and other private resorts. One can take the Kakkayam Road from Thalaserry to reach this place.
From the parking point, one has to trek over 500 meters to reach the waterfalls. There are thick jungle around this waterfalls, chances of spotting wild animals are also high. The altitude of waterfalls is also heigh at above 2500 meters above sea level. One can also enjoy boat ride at Kakkayam dam. Speed Boating is also available at a cost of INR 900/- for a group of 5.
