Sri-Katch-Anegathangavadeshwar-Temple is an important Lord Shiva temple as it is a padal petra sthalam. The temple Lord Shiva was worshipped by Sundarar and also by Lord Vinayagar and Kuberar.
It is a small temple with only Lord Shiva and sanctums for Vinayagar.
According to legends, Lord Vinayagar worshipped Lord Shiva here as he is also known as Anekathangadawar. Hence the Lord Shiva has his name as Anegathangavadeshwar.
