Solomon Temple is one of the breathtaking churches in India!

It was constructed by the Kohhran Thianghlim religious group, is a masterpiece of white marble that will leave you in awe.

But let’s start with the history of this temple, shall we? The founder of Kohhran Thianghlim, Dr. L.B. Sailo, claimed that he had a dream where God showed him Solomon’s Temple in 1991. And what did he do after that? He woke up and built it! Well, not right away. The foundation stone was laid on December 23, 1996, and the construction finished after a whopping 20 years in 2017, just in time for Christmas.

Now, let’s talk architecture. The temple is a massive 180 ft. square with towering facades on each of its 37-metre sides and steeples at each corner. It can accommodate up to 2,000 people in the main hall and 10,000 in its courtyard. And guess what? There’s a porch too! Called ‘The porch of Solomon’s Temple,’ it’s a 30 ft. wide shelter that can seat a significant number of people.

The main building has twelve doors, and the exterior walls face exactly South, North, East, and West. Four pillars above the porch carry seven David’s stars each, representing the seven churches of the Book of Revelation. The temple has four towers, each with a crown representing different types of salvation.

The roof has two intersecting horizontal ridges that form a cross when viewed from above. And let’s not forget the angels blowing trumpets that flank the northern side of the main entrance!

But that’s not all! The temple complex also has a natural park covered by various forest trees that provide shade and fruits for birds and small animals. And there’s a restaurant too! You won’t go hungry while admiring this magnificent creation.

So, there you have it, folks! If you’re ever in Aizawl, Mizoram, make sure you visit Solomon’s Temple.
