Welcome to Narmada Ghat, where the worries of the world wash away with the flow of the river Narmada!

This off-beat destination is a hidden gem in the vicinity of Maheshwar, surrounded by lush greenery that will make you feel like you’re in paradise.

Built by the badass Rani Ahilyabai, this splendid piece of architecture is situated right on the banks of Maa Narmada. It’s one of the most beautiful ghats in Madhya Pradesh and is only 90 km away from Indore and 35 km from AB Road. The view from here is absolutely breathtaking, and you won’t be able to resist taking out your camera and snapping away.

Boat rides are available to explore various routes, and we highly recommend feeding the fish. It’s an incredible experience that will leave a lasting impression on both you and the kids.

If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, spend at least a day at Narmada Ghat and be amazed. The ghats may be smaller than those in other river locations, but the intimate setting makes it an even nicer place to watch people praying and making offerings to their gods and to the river Narmada herself.

The Narmada Ghat here is lined up with many small temples and chhatris that you can see from the top of Ahilya Fort. You’ll also see small and big Shivalingas all along the ghat. The best part? The ghat is immaculately clean and well-kept, making it safe for you to take a stroll or snap some great photos of Maheshwar Fort.

The backdrop framed by the Ahilya Fort and the Shiva temple is simply beautiful, and if you take a boat ride during sundown, it’s magical.

The best time to visit Maheshwar Ghat is early morning and evening from 4 PM onwards. We highly recommend attending the spectacular Narmada Aarti at 8 PM every day, a beautiful ritual that will leave you feeling blessed and at peace.

So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and head to Narmada Ghat and Maheshwar Ghat for a blissful getaway that will leave you rejuvenated and ready to take on the world!
