Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary is a small picturesque river island located in the Tunga river in Shimoga in Karnataka. The island is a part of Shettihalli Wildlife Sanctuary and is residence to rich species. During migratory season, one can also spot birds such as darter, egret, snake-bird, cormorant etc. This island is just 1.14 acres big and is a paradise for ornithologists.
The best time to visit this place is from July to October.
It is a scenic place with a beautiful Tunga river but sadly it is not maintained well.
