Koppal Fort is a town surrounded by 3 hills. It has natural fortifications and further strengthened by building fort. It was strengthened later by Tipu Sultan with help of French Engineers during late 18th century.Now, much of the fort is in ruins. It will be a good trekking expedition, if one is interested to climb mountain to visit fort ruins.
