Khoupum Waterfalls is in Tamenglong district of Manipur.

It is one of the most charming and underrated waterfalls in Manipur. Not only will you be able to enjoy an incredible waterfall experience with a rainbow reflection, but you can also take a dip in its refreshing waters and even go for a swim. Plus, this little slice of paradise is perfect for capturing sunset views, having a day picnic, and feeling the cool breeze of water on your face.

This valley is only 81 kms away from Imphal and makes for an amazing day trip. It’s a real paradise for nature lovers, thanks to its fresh air, gushing waterfalls, lush green mountains, huts surrounded by paddy fields, a beautiful lake, the Barak River, and the Khoupum dam. So, if you’re feeling like taking a splash of freshness, head on over to Khoupum Waterfall and rejuvenate yourself. It’s a secluded waterfall located in the valley and the fact that it’s still unexplored, the untouched beauty of it will definitely leave you spellbound.

Want to experience some adventure? Go for a trek down to the picturesque waterfalls, crossing the lush green forest and scintillating river. The scenic beauty that appears while going to the waterfall is a treat to the eyes and can only be felt by being there.

The best time to visit Tamenglong is from October to March, the cold season lasts from December to February accompanied by light rainfall and summers are not so humid.

To reach Tamenglong, nearest airhead is Imphal Airport which is well connected to major cities, nearest railway station is at Dimapur and by road, National Highway 53 and National Highway 39 connect Manipur to the rest of the country.
