Mussoorie, the queen of hills, just added a feather in its cap with the newly inaugurated K Dev Bhoomi Wax Museum. This museum is inspired by the famous Madame Tussauds in London and is the fourth of its kind in India. It has lifelike wax statues of both domestic and international personalities. You can find Gandhiji sitting with his charkha, Mother Teresa standing tall, and even Hitler with his infamous clenched fists.
Not to forget, there are figurines of Angelina Jolie and Michael Jackson among several others. So, if you’ve always wanted to visit Madame Tussauds but couldn’t, here is an absolutely unique opportunity for you.
The museum is situated in the premises of Company Garden, just 3 kms ahead of The Mall. This hidden gem is not very publicized, and tourists are overwhelmed with joy on discovering it.
To reach the museum, you can either hire a local rickshaw or book a private taxi-cab. The rickshaw ride will be reasonable, while the taxi-cab will be slightly more expensive. But trust us, it’s worth it!
So what are you waiting for? Go pose with your favorite personality and get clicked. Remember to carry your camera, as photography is allowed. This place might not take more than 30 minutes to cover, but it’s exciting for those who haven’t been to a wax museum before.
