Welcome to the world of ISKCON! Get ready to chant Hare Krishna, because we’re taking a trip to the Shri Shri Rukmini Krishna temple in Guwahati!

This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his better half, Rukmani. And let me tell you, this place is stunning! The architecture of the building is made of stark white marble, making it look like a fancy palace straight out of a fairy tale.

The temple is situated on top of a hill, surrounded by lush green gardens that are perfect for devotees to spend their time in. Inside the temple, you’ll find various halls where teachings from the holy books of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam are preached. So, if you’re looking for some spiritual enlightenment, you’re definitely in the right place.

Aside from all the preaching, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy at the temple. The daily routine includes chanting the Krishna mantra, morning and evening aarti, Gita discourses, bhajans, and mantras. And let’s not forget the prasadam – the temple’s delicious lunch that’s available for visitors at 1:30 PM.

If you’re planning on visiting the temple, Sundays are the best days to go. You’ll get to attend aartis from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and enjoy the spiritual vibes. And don’t worry about leaving your phone or camera behind, because you can carry them inside the temple.

Now, getting to the temple is easy . It’s only 2 km away from the Guwahati temple, and you can take an auto-rickshaw from the railway station. And if you’re lucky enough to visit during Janmashtami or Jagannath yatra, get ready to be blown away by the festival celebrations!

Oh, and don’t forget to try the Sunday Bhog for only INR 30 – it’s totally worth it.
