Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up your seat belts because we are about to embark on a journey to the International Dolls Museum in Chandigarh! Let’s make it an exciting and humorous trip, shall we?

Picture this – you are in Chandigarh, and you are thinking of visiting the International Dolls Museum. Well, you’re in luck because it’s just 2 km away from the Chandigarh Bus Station.

When you arrive at the museum, you’ll see that it was established in 1985 by the Chandigarh administration and the Rotary Club of Chandigarh. And you admire the fantastic job of gathering a collection of 250 different types of dolls and puppets from all over the world, including Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Russia, and Korea, to name a few.

But wait, that’s not all! The museum is divided into four sections – International dolls, Indian dolls, Activity corner, and History of dolls. The Indian dolls are dressed up in regional costumes from all states of India, and you’ll see dolls that depict popular fairy-tale characters like Aladdin, Ali Baba, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White. And if that’s not enough to keep you entertained, there’s also a massive model of a German railway station in the middle of the exhibition hall, ten murals of important landmarks of different countries, and even an amusement park and toy trains for kids!

And here’s the best part – the entry fee is only Rs. 10 for adults and Rs. 5 for cameras. We know, right? It’s a steal!

But, let’s be real here. The museum is not perfect, and it’s clear that it’s operating on a small budget. The display and lighting could use some improvement, but hey, we have a solution. If art lovers like us visit the museum and encourage others to do the same, authorities might double the entry fee and use the funds to make improvements.

All in all, visiting the International Dolls Museum is a great way to develop social, emotional, and language skills in children and an even better way to entertain adults who are still kids at heart. So what are you waiting for? Go grab your dollies and head to the museum for a fun-filled day!
