Gayatri Temple is in Manali, located just 7 km away from the main town.

This temple is made of marble and looks absolutely stunning.

The architecture of this temple is seriously impressive, with intricate woodwork that will leave you in awe. And if you’re in the mood for some temple hopping, there’s a Shikara style Shiva temple nearby that you can check out too.

The Gayatri Temple is not just a tourist spot, it’s also a pilgrimage site where people come to pray and seek blessings from the divine. The surrounding area is peaceful and you can easily spend some quiet time there. And if you’re into photography, this place is a heaven for you with its wonderful scenery.

Legend has it that the temple is over 5000 years old and the Pandavas from Mahabharata used to visit here to offer their prayers to Maa Gayatri. And the temple has come a long way since then! In 1977, the Idol of Lord Anjaneya was installed in the temple, followed by Idols of Lord Ganesha, Siddhi Buddhi, and Lord Shanmukha in 1986. And in 1990, the Idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Navagraha were also installed. The temple has been growing in popularity ever since.

So, if you’re planning a trip to Manali, don’t forget to include the ancient and traditional Gayatri Temple in your itinerary.
