Gallu Devi Waterfall is a mini trek to discover a hidden gem in Upper Dharamshala.

Sure, you can take a vehicle there, but where’s the fun in that? I prefer the mini trek, starting from Dharamkot. It’s about an hour and a half trek.

Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring a few things with you, although there are cafes and shops on the way.

Once you arrive at the waterfall, take a dip in the refreshing water and meditate to the calming sound of the falls. Trust me, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.

If trekking isn’t your thing, no worries! Cars can take you up to Gallu Devi temple, and from there, it’s only a 20-30 minute hike to the waterfall. Make sure you arrive by 4pm so you can spend a good hour at the falls and then head back to the sunset cafe for a mesmerizing sunset.

The trek can be a bit tricky at times, especially near the Gallu Devta temple, so make sure you keep a good balance. But trust me, it’s worth it for the extraordinary views and the refreshing dip in the falls.
