Bhuntar is a quaint, serene town just to unwind!

Located in Kullu district, Bhuntar serves as a perfect gateway to nearby towns like Manali, Kasol, and Manikaran. Plus, the Kullu airport is conveniently located here for all you frequent flyers out there.

Now, Bhuntar may not have the majestic natural beauty of its more popular counterparts, but it makes up for it with its charming old-worldly vibe. It’s the perfect destination if you’re looking to escape the maddening tourist crowds and enjoy a peaceful retreat surrounded by lush greenery. Take a stroll through its quaint streets and visit its temples with splendid architecture and high religious significance.

Speaking of temples, the Basheshwar Temple in Bhuntar is a must-visit. Legend has it that it was built by the Pandavas themselves! Admire the beautiful stone carvings and marvel at the idols of major Hindu deities. And if you’re a fan of Lord Shiva, you’ll be happy to know that this temple is the largest one dedicated to him in the entire Kullu valley.

But wait, there’s more! Just 4 km away from the Bhuntar airport is the Bijli Mahadev Temple. Built in the 8th century A.D., this temple is adorned with spectacular stone sculptures and carvings. It’s the largest stone temple in Kullu and definitely worth a visit.

So, if you’re in the mood for a quiet, laid-back vacation, give Bhuntar a chance. Who knows, you might just fall in love with its silent charm and leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
