Bekal Fort is a must visit just fort in north Kerala. It is fort built by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi in 1650 AD. It is one of the largest fort in Kerala, worth visiting just for the sweeping views of Arabian sea from the fort and from the beach. It spreads across 40 acres of land with large walkways, tunnels, water tanks, guns.
