Badarpur Fort is in the Karimganj district of Assam.

It was built during the Mughal era and is situated along the banks of the Barak River. While most of the fort is in ruins, the main entrance still stands tall, welcoming visitors to explore its vast area. And let me tell you, the view of the river from this place is absolutely beautiful. So, if you’re a fan of stunning views and historical ruins, this is the place for you.

The Karimnganj and its surroundings – Chhatachura Range originates from the southeast border of the district, with the highest peak at an elevation of 2087 feet. And guess what? Badarpur is at an elevation of 500 feet, which is the lowest in this range. So, if you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore the great outdoors, this is the place to be.

Son Beel is a beautiful wetland with hills on both its east and west side, perfect for a relaxing day trip. And if you’re a tea lover, you have to check out Eolabari Tea Estate, located only 15 km from Karimganj.

And let’s not forget about Khashpur, a place that’s 85 km away but still worth the trip. It’s a historic site with sprawling tea gardens that are sure to impress. So, there you have it, folks! Plenty of options to explore and have some fun.
