Bhatta Falls are the perfect picnic spot and a tourist attraction, located just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Mussoorie Library Bus Stand.

But don’t get too excited, because you’ll need to hike 500 meters to get to the exact spot of the waterfall. Don’t worry, though, because it’s a good place for adventure enthusiasts and you’ll definitely get your steps in for the day!

This natural wonder cascades down from an altitude of 30 feet into a circular pool, which is perfect for swimming and bathing. And the best part? It’s not yet commercialized, so you can enjoy the peace and natural beauty of the falls without any distractions. Just watch out for the children’s park with slopes and swings because they might distract you from the beauty of the falls!

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try out the ropeway which connects the Bhatta village to the Bhatta falls. The ride is only INR 250 per person and the cable cars can carry up to 12 people. But let me tell you, the real adventure begins when you get to the falls. It may not offer any great view-points, but you can sit and eat with the falls at different levels.

It’s not the most exciting place for adult tourists, but if you have small kids under the age of 12, it’s perfect. There are plenty of activities for kids like boating, arial swing, zip line, and even a raindance area! And if you get hungry, there are small eateries selling tea and light snacks, with tables and chairs set up in the flowing water.
