Vettangudi Bird Sanctuary is a place where one can find resident birds and migratory birds in the evening after 4.00 PM. The migratory season is from October to February.
The bird sanctuary is on the Thirupattur -Kongampatti road. There are sign boards which will tell you about the migratory and resident birds in the place. The major attractions here are spoonbills, white ibis, snake bird, cattle egrets, open bill stork and grey herons.
There is also a watch tower to provide a brilliant view of the lake and to spot birds from distance.
