Kattikayam Falls is near Idukki Wild Life Sanctuary. It is near another waterfalls Mechal in the area. From the town Nellapara, take Pazhukakkanam road and take diversion at Thottumukku junction for Kattikayam Waterfalls road. From the base of parking, one has to trek nearly 300 meters to reach the waterfalls. The walk through the jungle is pleasant, but a bit steep and dangerous, if you are not careful. One can visit the place, from Alapuzzha or Kottayam.
