Bara Imambara is a famous palace Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The word Imambara means, the place for Imam or priest.

What are the special attractions ?

If offers a quiet ambience with luxury of yester year kings. The architecture is noteworthy without any use of metal or wood and the structure is made with interlocking stones. Besides, the maze on the second floor is a enticing network of narrow passageways winding its way inside the upper floor of the monument’s structure, eventually leading to the rooftop. It is said there are more than 1000 ways to get in but only two ways to get out.

The palace and mosque are open to tourist from 6.00 AM to 5.00 PM. It is closed during namaz time on Fridays.
